TOLOCAR is a component of the project «Good Governance through GovTech and Transparency in Ukraine» funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in close collaboration with Ukrainian and international partners.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is the donor of the Tolocar project. The BMZ sees itself as a transformative ministry working to support the worldwide transformation to a sustainable, climate-friendly and nature-friendly way of doing business whilst at the same time strengthening peace, freedom and human rights.

It supports the German Government in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. CADUS is a non-profit and independent aid organisation that provides medical and technical emergency response in crisis-affected areas. CADUS managed the first Tolocar during the first project phase.

METALAB is an urban development laboratory in Ivano-Frankivsk that aims to research the needs of the city and the region, create livable public spaces, and develop a community of like-minded people so that the number of active citizens and urban development experts in the region increases.

Insha Osvita

A non-governmental organization that works with culture and art as forms of collective learning and exchange, and creates and uses spaces for this. This aspect is also very important in the Tolocar project: through diverse, holistic and living learning from each other, we develop more trust in ourselves and others, and join together to strengthen ourselves and our communities.

Ostriv is a community makerspace in Kyiv. Together with the Ukraine's largest volunteer organisation, Building Ukraine Together (BUR), they have been helping different communities in Ukraine to create spaces for exchange - and to grow together as communities - for years.

Global Innovation Gathering (GIG)

GIG facilitates collaboration between Ukrainian and international makers. Together, they're co-designing essential open-hardware products, workshops, and service kits aimed at addressing local needs. Diverse teams from various countries collaborate on ideation, design, and testing.

Maker Hub NGO

The Maker Hub develops zero-to-maker and maker-to-business pipelines by providing small and big events for makers, such as meetups and Maker Faires, and publishing manuals and playbooks for makerspaces.
